Research & Training Academy of Islamic Bank Consultative Forum organized a daylong training program on “Leadership & Communication Skills for Bankers” at Hotel Agrabad, Chattogram on 11th December, 2018. 45 (Forty five) mid level executives of 12 Islamic Banks and Banks having Islamic Branches and Windows participated in the program.
The key resource persons of the training program were Mr. Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, Independent Director, ICB Islamic Bank Ltd. and Former Managing Director & CEO, Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. & EXIM Bank Ltd., Mr. Tanvir Mohammad Hayder Arif, Associate Professor, Department of Finance, University of Chittagong, Mr. Mohammad Amirul Islam, SEVP & Region Head, Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. and Mr. Md. Mahfuzur Rahman, former Director General IBTRA.
Prof Md. Nazmul Hassan Ph.D, Chairman, IBCF & Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd. inaugurated the program as Chief Guest while Mr. Syed Waseque Md Ali, Managing Director and CEO, First Security Islami Bank Ltd. was present as Special Guest on the occasion. Among others Md. Hafizur Rahman, EVP & Head of Chittagong Zone, First Security Islami Bank Ltd. was also present.
Mr. Nazmul Hassan in his loquacious speech said that there is no alternative of reading books on leadership & Management for the bankers while Mr. Syed Waseque Md Ali expressed that leadership qualities should be developed for prompting the modern banking effectively.
Professor Md. Anwarul Azim Arif, former Vice-Chancellor of the Chittagong University and now the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Social Islami Bank Ltd. was present in the valedictory session as the Chief Guest and distributed certificates among the participants. In his speech, the chief guest underscored the need of such outreach training program and expressed that such training has farsighted impact on bank management.
Mr. Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, Member IBCF Research & Training Committee, presided over both the sessions.
