IBCF Research & Training Academy arranged a daylong training program on “AAOIFI and IFSB Standards” held on April 25, 2018 (Wednesday) at Bangladesh Association of Banks, Gulshan-1, Dhaka-1212.
Mr. A K M Nurul Fazal Bulbul, Vice Chairman, IBCF and CDBL distributed certificates among the participants as chief guest while Md. Fariduddin Ahmed, Independent Director of ICB Islamic Bank Ltd., and Mr. Abdur Rahman Sarker, Secretary General, Bangladesh Association of Banks & former Managing Detector National Bank Ltd. & Shahjalal Islami Bank Ltd. was present in the certificate awarding ceremony as special guest.
Mr. A K M Nurul Fazal Bulbul in his speech emphasized the introduction of AAOIFI and IFSB Standards in words & spirit in the Islamic finance industry of Bangladesh.
The key resource persons of the training program were Mr. Shamsoddoha, Senior Vice President, Shariah Division, Islami Bank Bangladesh ltd., Md. Moshiur Rahman, FCA, Senior Assistant Vice President, ICCW, Islami Bank Bangladesh ltd. and Mr. Md. Saidur Rahman, Principal, Shahjalal Islami Bank Training Institute.
20 (twenty) mid level executives of 10 Islamic Banks and Banks having Islamic Banking Branch & windows took part in the training program.
Islamic Banks Consultative Forum (IBCF), the apex body of Shariah based Banking Industry working in Bangladesh started its operation on 11 October 1995 to establish effective interaction among all Islamic Banks and Banks having Islamic Banking branches, to march to the same goal.
